SISTERLY LOVE...

So.....Ava and Annabelle have become quite the little buddies. Now that "Nanny" (that's what Ava calls Annabelle!) has gotten a little older and more interactive, they are having lots of fun together. They're always making each other laugh and it really is precious. For this post, I decided to post pictures from the last month of the two of them together.

I did not put them together like this. This is how I found them playing! I came out from the bedroom the other day and found these 2 like this. Ava had taken Annabelle's pajamas and diaper off and they were laying there looking up at the balloons together and both sucking their little thumbs! Ava pretending to feed Annabelle.

Happy Birthday, Ava!!!

Ava turned 2 yesterday!! WOW! Hard to believe. Ava had a great day......full of cake, cookies, presents and BALLOONS! Ava really loves balloons. A patient at work had left these balloons behind and I took it upon myself to bring them home for Ava. Yes, a couple of them said, "over the hill" and "get well soon"....but I didn't care and Ava certainly didn't care. She LOVED them. Here is Ava eating breakfast with her dad. She got some dress-up clothes from Grandma Lu and had to wear the gloves during breakfast. She was definitely a princess for the day. :) That morning we frosted little heart shaped sugar cookies. When we weren't looking, Ava consumed a very large amount of sprinkles....this lead to major hyperactivity and then major tamptrums. After that incident, Ava took a walk outside with her dad, went swinging and then used her new red shovel in the driveway. ...On to the birthday party. Here is the spread of food.

We had strawberry cake again...and it was delicious.

She looked really cute in her new colorful dress from Grandma Lu and Grandpa Gary. Thank you, Grandma & Grandpa Myhre!

Ava got a stroller from her cousins, Carson and Grace. She is OBSESSED with it, and she spent a large portion of her birthday pushing it around and giggling.

Breakfast Time is SO Much Fun!

Ava and Annabelle are so funny at breakfast time. First of all, breakfast around here takes about an hour......by the time I make Ava her food, Annabelle is crying and I have to sit down to feed her. Then Ava is crying to get out of her seat to help me feed her sister. And of course, it's a common occurance that one of them poops in the middle of breakfast.

Good times! :)

Ava and Annabelle crack each other up. They sit in their seats and do things to make the other one laugh. Annabelle will spit her food out just to make her sister laugh! I however, don't think it's too terribly funny. :)

We had a playdate today with our neighbor, AnnMarie. AnnMarie has a basket full of dress up clothes. These pictures were so cute, I had to share.

They both HAD to have their boots on. Big hug.

Favorite Things

Ava absolutely loves "helping" me in the kitchen. She likes to sit up on the counter next to where I'm working and pour, stir and make messes. I planned on getting her a kitchen of her own for Christmas, but my mom offered and it arrived a couple of weeks ago. It was a BEAST to put together, but Ava loves it. I got some pictures of Ava the morning she walked out of her room to discover her "kitchen".

She was SO excited.

You should have seen the look in her eyes when she discovered all of the doors to open and knobs to turn. She thought she was so cool! :)

The kitchen has been a big hit. Thank you, Grandma Em!

Annabelle's favorite thing lately is her jumper. It hangs from the doorway in the kitchen and she goes wild in it.

Annabelle is such a happy baby. There are so many times we catch her watching her big sister in awe. She wants to be able to do what her big sister does so badly. Soon enough she will be.....she turns 1 in a month from today! Wow!

Welcome to our Blog!

SO!...Welcome to our blog! After much consideration, I've decided to start this blog for our family. You see, I've never been a big fan of blogs. I don't even like the word "blog". I just never thought that there was anything so terribly interesting about my life that would make people want to read about it. However, I do think my girls are pretty interesting and figured this would be a good way to keep people updated on their lives.

As I'm sure you've noticed, I have become horrible at updating the girls' "babysites". I thought that if I started something new, I may be more compliant with updates. I hope to update this site every few days (at least that's my hefty goal), so please....do check back often. I'll be back later tonight with some new pictures!!
