Cookies & Grandpa Gary

I'm playing catch-up on the blog here... We frosted "fallish" cookies in September. The girls seriously ate so many cookies and so much frosting, it was disgusting. And no, Jason had nothing to do with the cookie-making craziness...it was me and Sara. We had fun though....that's a vodka-orange juice you see in the picture and I was drinking a bloody mary. Good times for us, good times for the kids :)
Aren't they cute? You can see Ava's
pumpkins in the top right corner :)
These pictures are from back in August. I know, I know... They are so cute though, I had to share them. Grandpa Gary rode out here on his bike in August. It was just him and he only stayed 2 days, but we were very happy to see him....especially the girls. They just LOVE their Grandpa Gary.
Ava & the lovely Cindy riding on Grandpa's back!
Grandpa Gary always gives the girls change to put in their piggy banks.
Ava takes the job very seriously.
Exciting things coming up.... well, exciting for us! My mom is coming out in December for a visit! YAYYYYY!! And possibly Auntie Lori too! And possibly Grandpa Gary and Grandma Lu! We're staying here for the holidays this year, which is a change from what we normally do. I know that I am going to miss Minnesota, especially during Christmas time, but it's really hard to travel with the girls these days. Sara (aka Artie) is moving back to Minnesota before Christmas....*tear*... I am going to miss her so much :( And the girls are going to miss their Artie so much too.

The Girls Love Tights...

For the longest time, I've had to beg and plead with Ava to get her to put a dress on. For whatever reason, she just doesn't like to wear dresses. WELL...when you say to Ava, "You can wear tights with your dress!", she's all about it. A couple of days ago, Ava had her tights on so Annabelle had to have her tights on too. Aren't they cute? The pink dress Annabelle is wearing is from Grandma Em.
Dirty, boogery face...but I love those eyes! No tights here....but this is the adorable red coat that Auntie Lori got for Ava. She LOVES it! But every time I tried to snap a picture of her, she'd put her finger in her nose! Nothing with Ava is easy. :) This is the sweater dress that Auntie got for Ava. Since she gets to wear tights with it, she loves it too! :)
Pumpkin carving tonight!!!!

The First Snow & Ava

Once again, I have let this blog fall far behind...
Our first big snow was back in September. Ava woke up and of course had to go outside right away. What's funny about these pictures isn't the snow,
it's Ava and her whole look...
Seriously...look at her hair, look at her outfit! She makes us laugh all the time. How did THAT even happen to her hair? I have no idea.
Look at Ava in the bottom right corner of this picture.
Too funny.

Professional Photos...

When my mom was here in September, we brought the girls in to have their pictures taken. It wasn't the greatest photo shoot ever..... The lady was in a huge rush and there
are only a couple that I like....
but, oh well!!
In all the pictures of the two of them togeter, Ava absolutely would not smile. Little stinker.
This one of Annabelle is my favorite. Such a sweet baby.
Seriously. My mom and I were doing everything we could possibly do to get Ava to smile.
I think I even pulled the..."Hey Ava, Grandma Em just tooted!"...but not even that statement got a smile out of her!! haha...

Hard Working Guide

This picture really made me laugh.
One of Jason's clients sent him this photo. The subject of the email was "Hard Working Guide".
Yes, that is Jason in the background...kicked back enjoying a beer.
Hard life of a fishing guide, I know....

Visit From Grandma Em

My mom came out the second week of September for an entire week. It was sooo nice to have her here and sooo sad to see her go.
Grandma Em watched the girls so Jason could go hunting, we went on an overnight fishing/camping trip...we had picnics, went hiking, went shopping, ate lots of good food, got Ava's haircut (pictures of that event to come), etc, etc....
The girls just love their Grandma Em. Poor Grandma Em never got a break...
Ava would only let Grandma Em read to her, put her to bed, make her food, and on and on......
(however, I don't think she really minded). :)
Thanks Grandma Em for the visit!
We all miss you!!
Come back soon!! (please!) Husking corn. Going to the park. Weeeeeeeee!!!!
Loving the teeter-totter.
Cuddle, Snuggle.........

Odin

As all of you that read this blog already know, we got a new little puppy back in AUGUST. I know, I know...we got him back in August and I'm only blogging about him now. There's just no excuse for me!
Odin is a Wire-Haired Pointing Griffon. He's a sweet puppy...however, he is ALL puppy....
biting....scratching.....attacking small children...
Odin and I have a love/hate relationship. You see, he's a great little guy (no shedding, friendly, good bird dog for Jason), but sharp puppy teeth and 2 little girls don't mix so well. Ava and Annabelle love him, but it's difficult to leave them in a room without constant supervision or else someone is going to start screaming because he's biting them. Poor little guy, he's just trying to play! :) Oh, and the pooping in the house thing isn't so pleasant either.
Needless to say, I love him but I can't wait for the puppy phase to be over.
He looks like an old man. Like my mom said when she was out, "He's so ugly, he's cute!". Thanks, Mom! :)
Don't worry people. I'll post pictures of the girls soon....because, let's face it!..you're not on here to read about me or Jason or some dog. :)
